Deuel Area Development hosted “Getting Down to Business With Social Media” a workshop for new and existing businesses on Friday, February 25th. The workshop helped participants learn how integrate social media into their business marketing strategy.

Lindsey Karlson with the Rural Learning Center of Howard, South Dakota, provided an overview of the principles of social media, and outlined a straight-to-the-point process of how to develop a strategy in order participants to effectively market their businesses using social media. Participants then worked in small groups to begin to develop their social media strategies.
