Take a look at how a piece of history has come alive! The gallery above shows pictures of Buffalo Ridge before and after the renovations took place. However, if you haven’t been over to Gary, SD, to see the magic for yourself, know that these pictures do not to the project justice. You need to see this with your own eyes!!
The number of people who flooded through the campus of Buffalo Ridge on July 3rd and 4th will never be known for sure, but to say “thousands” would not be an exaggeration. A steady stream of visitors was always on the move in the halls of the Herrick Hotel. Others left their footprints in the sand along the edge of newly restored Lake Elsie. Travelers came from both near and far to see see the campus back in its prime.

Gary has an awesome new website! Check it out!! www.experiencegarysd.com.
The website features Buffalo Ridge Resort & Business Center (the former School for the Blind), Gary history & the Gary Historical Association, area events and attractions, lodging, an interactive map of the Gary area & amenities, food & entertainment, a photo gallery, local arts, a business directory, the Gary Interstate, area churches, and the Gate City Development Association.
The website project was a combined effort of Dakota Wind, LLC of Gary SD, and the Gary Historical Association. These organizations partnered with CCM Group to establish a strong brand for the area and website, and to develop the website design and content.
The team also worked on branding for the Buffalo Ridge Resort & Business Center, the new name for Gary’s former School for the Blind. And the finished product… the logo… is gorgeous!
The website and logos were designed by CCM Group of Canby, Minnesota. CCM Group is an international company based out of Greece that specializes in professional consulting, publishing, and advertising service. Their US headquarters is located in Canby, Minnesota. The Canby office specializes specifically in advertising service side of the buesiness and is headed up by Kelley Nemitz, a Canby native. http://www.groupccm.com/index.html.
Great work Dakota Wind, Gary Historical Association, and CCM Group! Your work is brilliant and the website will be an fabulous asset for our community. Hats off to you!
